The Early Childhood Center starts at 6 weeks old. Low ratios and a comfortable and caring environment are the most important aspects of our new state-of-the-art infant care center. Leaving a newborn with strangers is a challenging situation for any parent and we will make the transition as easy as possible. We have an open door policy and parents are welcome anytime. Our NAEYC accredited Toddling Tots program serves children ages 12 months through age 3.

Our Toddling Tots program provides a supportive, nurturing environment that promotes emotional, social, physical, cognitive and spiritual development of young children. We believe that children learn through all of their senses and through positive learning interactions with their teachers and peers. Preschool
The Memphis Jewish Community Center Early Childhood Center’s Preschool program is designed to give children the foundation they need to build self-esteem, to appreciate their Jewish heritage, to develop school competence, and to reach for higher levels of learning. Our comprehensive curriculum is planned and written to meet NAEYC’s Developmentally Appropriate Practices, consisting of a careful blend of teacher-directed and child-directed activities.
We want children to become enthusiastic learners. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. We help children become independent, self-confident, and inquisitive. We’re teaching them to learn, not just in preschool, but all through their lives.

Preschool Plus
(our before school and after school program for Pre-K and JK)
The MJCC ECC offers care for your child from 7:30am until 5:30pm. Preschool Plus AM is 7:30am-8:45am and Preschool Plus PM begins when your child's school day ends. Our Preschool Plus program is more than just a daycare service; it is an extension of your child's school day. Preschool Plus is available for the entire school year, per month or on a drop-in basis depending on the needs of the parents.
