- Each player will receive our uniform shirt
What to bring:
- Water and/or sports drink
- Soccer ball: Size 3 (ages 4 & 7) or Size 4 (ages 8-12)
Do I need soccer cleats or will tennis shoes be okay?
Tennis shoes will be fine for younger players, as long as the playing field is dry. Older players, or when the conditions are wet and muddy, may require cleats.
How long are practices?
- Six and younger should be no longer than 45 minutes.
- Under-8 player practices are one hour.
- Under-10 player practices are one hour.
- Under-12 player practices are one hour.
What does a player need to bring to practice?
A ball, soccer shoes, shin guards, and plenty of water. Shin guards are required for all practices and games (wear UNDERNEATH socks). Cleated shoes are needed if conditions are wet, muddy or surface is soft.
What size ball do I need?
- Size 3 (Ages 4-7)
- Size 4 (Ages 8-12)
We recommend writing your name and phone number on your ball.
Are mouth guards needed?
Injuries to the teeth are so few that insurers do not require them. However, many dentists recommend them.
Why can’t players wear helmets?
Helmets are not included in the Laws of the Game under Players Equipment. Although the player wearing the headgear is protected, he/she may play in a more aggressive manner, physically, than others whom are not protected, thereby becoming a danger to others.
How many players are on a team?
- U6 - 3v3
- U8 - 6v6 with goalie
- U10 - 6v6 with goalie
My child has a disability. Is there a place for him/her?
US Youth Soccer TOP Soccer is a program for players with mental or physical challenges.
