Youth Soccer Leagues
The MJCC is the only organization in Memphis that offers soccer-playing opportunities to youth players of all ages, playing abilities, and levels of commitment. Every decision, every rule, and every program has "what's good for the kids" as its basis.
JK-Kindergarten: 3 by 3/1/20 (Co-Ed)
Beginners will learn the fundamentals of the game and have a blast with friends on the soccer field!

No class 4/8, 4/12, 4/15.
8U: Ages 6–8 (Co-Ed)
Move ahead with your game by learning more difficult foot work and playing in a fast-paced environment. Players will learn more positioning as the fields get wider and bigger!
Sun 2:30–3:30pm • Thu 5:30–6:30pm
3/8–5/14 | $155 fee/$130m | Class #6239
No class 4/9, 4/12, 4/16.
10U: Ages 8–10
The field gets bigger, and the players get better. Players will learn spacing and passing as it pertains to more developed soccer. Drills will become more specific to game-like situations and the games will be more advanced. Game times may differ from practice times.
No class 3/10, 4/9, 4/12, 4/14, 4/16.

Youth Soccer FAQs
What to wear:
- Soccer cleats/tennis shoes
- Shin guards, soccer socks over shin guards, shorts
- Players may dress appropriately according to weather condition
- Each player will receive our Uniform shirt
- Each player will receive a medal or trophy at the end of the season
What to bring:
- Water and/or sports drink
- Soccer ball: Size 3 (ages 4 & 7) or Size 4 (ages 8-12)
When are practices?
*Specific days and times are dependent on which division a player is in.
Do I need soccer cleats or will tennis shoes be okay?
Tennis shoes will be fine for younger players, as long as the playing field is dry. Older players, or when the conditions are wet and muddy, may require cleats.
How long are practices?
Six and younger should be no longer than 45 minutes.
Under-8 player practices are one hour.
Under-10 player practices are one hour.
Under-12 player practices are one hour.
What does a player need to bring to practice?
A ball, soccer shoes, shin guards, and plenty of water. Shin guards are required for all practices and games (wear UNDERNEATH socks). Cleated shoes are needed if conditions are wet, muddy or surface is soft.
What size ball do I need?
Size 3 (Ages 4-7)
Size 4 (Ages 8-12)
We recommend writing your name and phone number on your ball.
Are mouth guards needed?
Injuries to the teeth are so few that insurers do not require them. However, many dentists recommend them.
Why can’t players wear helmets?
Helmets are not included in the Laws of the Game under Players Equipment. Although the player wearing the headgear is protected, he/she may play in a more aggressive manner, physically, than others whom are not protected, thereby becoming a danger to others.
How many players are on a team?
U6 - 3v3
U8 - 4v4
U10 - 6v6
U12 - 8v8
My child has a disability. Is there a place for him/her?
US Youth Soccer TOP Soccer is a program for players with mental or physical challenges.
Can I wear a cast/earrings/religious items/eyeglasses?
The FIFA Laws of the Game prohibit anything that is dangerous to a player or other players. Referees will determine if any item can be worn without being dangerous.
