The MJCC is proud to offer a wide variety of Specialty Classes! These classes $15 each for MJCC members. Specialty Classes include any classes that require a specialty certification on top of a regular Group X certification, specialized equipment or both. From Reformer classes to personal trainer led Boot Camp to Teen Weightlifting, our Specialty Classes offer something for everyone! All Specialty Class instructors hold several certifications relating to the classes they teach and many of them also hold Personal Training certifications and continuing educations units on top of those certifications. You won't find a more equalified staff for these prices anywhere else in the city!

SPECIALTY CLASS INFORMATION
MJCC members need to pre-pay for specialty classes at the Member Services Desk. $15 per class or $150 for an 11 class card. After paying, please reserve your spot up to 2 weeks in advance at the Sports & Wellness Desk. Please note that when reserving your spot for a class you are committing to attend the class(es) listed under your reservation. Classes are open to both members and nonmembers ($25 per class).
In TRX, you can expect an intense workout that incorporates body weight strength training for all the major muscle groups! Class is limited to 10 people. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of each class.

Dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels & performs. You will build strength without bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs & a flat abdomen. Pilates Reformer teaches body awareness, good posture & graceful movement.
This class is the safest way for your teenager to learn correct exercise habits. Taught by Raheem Shabazz, this group class teaches weight lifting, cardio skills, athletic drills and much more. Not only is it a great workout, it is a lot of fun!

Please check in at the Sports & Fitness Desk to ensure there is space in the class you want to attend. Put your name on the list, bring your receipt or use your specialty class card and enjoy your class!
Cancellation within 24 hours. In the event that you do not cancel your reservation, you will be charged $15.
We recognize that there are numerous and often legitimate reasons why you can’t make it to your classes or sessions occasionally. If you feel you have extenuating circumstance, just call us and speak with the Fitness Director.
There will be a waitlist for all classes that have registration. If the class you want to take is full, please place yourself on the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist, please take the following actions:
If you have placed your name on the wait list, a staff member will call you if you have made it into the class. To reserve your spot, you must pay for the class at this time. If you can't make it, the next person in line will get the opportunity to attend the class but won't know unless you cancel. If you are no longer able or do not want to take the class, remove yourself from the wait list.
