MJCC Fit Plan is available to all new members! ($149 value)
WELCOMEto the MJCC FIT Plan and congratulations for taking a proactive role in your health and wellness. The program is a benefit to MJCC members and to help make exercise a regular part of your healthy lifestyle. The program consists of four, 30 minute personalized training sessions and two optional group fitness classes and/or specialty group training sessions ($149 value). Between each meeting, you are encouraged to visit the wellness center to practice what you learned in the prior session.
Here is a description of each session:
Session # 1: FIRST FITNESS APPOINTMENT(30 minutes)
This session is one-on-one with a MJCC certified fitness professional. You will receive an assessment of your current fitness level and exercise goals.
Session # 2:CARDIO TRAINING ANDSTRENGTH/RESISTANCE TRAINING (30 minutes)
Your trainer will get you started using various modes of cardio exercise available to you at the MJCC. You will learn why cardio exercise is important, how frequently you should participate in cardio exercise, how to monitor your heart rate and intensity level.
Elective #1: GROUP FITNESS/ GROUP TRAINING SESSION (Optional)
Session # 3: STRENGTH/RESISTANCE TRAINING
Your trainer will select a resistance (strength) training regimen designed to meet your specific needs. You will learn why resistance training is important, and discuss how many repetitions, how much weight you should lift, and what you should be feeling. Most importantly, you will learn how you can fit these exercises into your busy lifestyle!
Elective #2: GROUP FITNESS CLASS / SPECIALTY GROUP TRAINING SESSION (optional)
Session # 4: STRETCHING SESSION (30 minutes)
Your trainer will review and go over all of the exercises, for the upper body, lower body, and core that you were shown in the first two sessions. Your trainer will review your goals with you and answer any questions you may have.
Session #5: TASTE OF PERSONAL TRAINING (30 minutes - optional)
A certified personal trainer will give you a taste of personal training that will be tailored to your specific wants and needs.
