Youth Fitness

It is important for even our smaller family members to stay active. Youth Fitness at the MJCC is very important and we strive to keep our youth moving! There are several options for youth fitness at the MJCC including sports, Fit Plan Certifications, and group fitness classes.
 

Pilates for Kids 
Pilates for Kids is a class that helps build strength, endurance, and flexibility. Pilates will also help with coordination, posture, and  improvement concentration. This class will teach your child the basic skills of Pilates in a fun atmosphere with friends.

Kids Fitness 
Through a research-based curriculum, kids will learn to enjoy fitness, test their limits and create healthy lifelong habits while gaining exposure to fundamental exercises and principles.

Aikido

      

Aikido is a Japanese martial art based on a philosophy of nonviolence. Students of all ages and fitness levels can advance through the ranks, learning traditional joint locks, throws, and wooden weaponry. Our curriculum also teaches strategies for self-defense, stranger safety, and anti-bullying. Come join us to experience a martial art designed to break the cycle of violence and find a new path of confidence, empowerment, and movement.

Youth Gymnastics
The gymnastics program at the MJCC is a great way to introduce your child to the fun of gymnastics. Our trained coaches work with small groups to teach and explore the fundamentals of gymnastics.

Tumble Jumpers 1: Ages 3–5
Introduction to gymnastics. Each session includes new games and skills, ensuring that class time is instructional, memorable, engaging, and fun!

No class 9/10.

Tumble Jumpers 2: Ages 3–5
An advanced version of Tumble Jumpers. Introduces children to the basics of beam, floor work, and uneven bars. Each session includes new games and skills.

No class 9/10.



MJCC Stars Gymnastics Level I: Ages 5–12
Basic tumbling, flexibility, and the uneven bars.
Wed 4:00–5:00pm | 8/15–10/3 | $115 fee/$105m | Class #5081

MJCC Stars Gymnastics Level II: Ages 5–12
Improving the skills and flexibility learned through the first level of training, preparing them for even more fun, and, if they choose, entry into the competitive level.
