The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training class includes Lifeguard training, CPR for the professional rescuer, Automated Extermal Defibrillator, and First Aid.
American Red Cross Lifeguard Certifications at the MJCC teach and certify students to become lifeguards. By teaching American Red Cross certifications, students are gaining the best possible knowledge of lifeguard procedures. We have classes throughout the year to accomadate the busy schedules of high school and college students. You must be able to swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing, tread water for two minutes, and pick up a 10 pound brick from 8-10 feet of water.
Students must be 15 years or older and attend all dates per session.
Bring swim suit and towel every day!
There will be a lunch break and several snack breaks. Students are encouraged to bring their lunch and snacks in case our in-house deli is too busy to serve them in time to get back to clas..
