Group Exercise Class Descriptions

A quick way to challenge and engage the whole core and trunk.

Lunchtime workout that focuses on strengthening core muscles and beyond.

C.P.R. - (Cardio Plus Resistance)
Interval training that alternates high-intensity exercise with recovery periods.

This class has it all: cardio intervals, sport strength training, heat-building plyometrics, and hard core ab work. Open to all levels.

A basic level, upbeat mat session designed to lengthen and strengthen your entire body using core muscles.

Class starts with an easy pedal warm up and focuses on proper technique. Be prepared to ride your way through rolling hills, steep climbs and much more! Limited spots available. Make a reservation up to 24 hours before class at the Sports and Fitness Desk.

Improve your well-being with this exercise class for women age 50 and older. The program includes flexibility and range-of-motion movements, weight-bearing exercises for muscular strength and endurance, deep breathing, and body awareness motions. $10/class

This gentle sequence of chest-openers and hip-openers is perfect for whenever you need a little revitalization.

An interval class full of all your favorites! Expect to sweat while working the whole body through functional movement challenges and total body strengthening exercises.

HIIT Express
An express lunchtime class that utilizes interval training to make your workout more effective in less time.

Get up and go with an aerobics class that's safe and heart-healthy. The workout includes easy-to-follow, low-impact movement designed to energize your active lifestyle.

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, and range of motion. Chairs and other pieces of equipment are used for seated and/or standing support.

We're serious about putting power in your step and your body, and empowering you to live life to the max. Approach this class eager to discover new ways to tap into your full potential using the step as a tool.

A strength focused class for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. We match movement to music and use traditional strength training to work each participant at their own level.

An energetic class suitable for all fitness levels and consists of a mix of strength and cardiovascular training for every major muscle group.

A total body workout for older adults of all fitness levels. The exercises are designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance. The workout is a combination of aerobic, flexibility, and resistance training in a fun environment with some exercises utilizing a chair.

This high-energy, multi-level, muscle conditioning class has stations with a wide selection of equipment to tone and sculpt the entire body. It's as intense as you make it, but expect to sweat!

A thirty minute class that utilizes max intervals to challenge and change you! Introduces you to the Tabata Bootcamp system.

TBF (Total Body Fitness)
A class that is focused on bridging the gap between primary muscles (the ones you see when you look in the mirror) and secondary muscles (the ones that help protect and stabilize).

The P.I.T.
Power Interval Training! Alternating between cardio, intervals, and muscular strength and endurance exercises. It is a simple and effective routine guaranteed to get your blood pumping!

A total body class that mixes high energy bursts with strength and plyometric exercises. You’ll never know what you're going to get.

A TRX suspension strap hangs from the ceiling and is used throughout the class, whether you're gripping it with your hands or hooking the straps on to your feet. TRX training is great for the entire body! $15/class

Ready to play defense? It's your best offense against inactivity. Your WAR class arsenal includes jabs, slips, blocks, and pushes. It's a new way to fight fatigue and fat--and you win! Let's get ARMED AND DANGEROUS!

Ancient art that will develop your internal energy or chi. A certified instructor from the Arthritis Foundation will lead participants through exercises that improve balance, help relieve stress, and offer arthritis pain relief.

A class that improves flexibility, increases balance, and strengthens the core muscle groups.

Family-friendly class for ages 11 and up! We will focus on flexibility.

Family-friendly class for ages 11 and up! A shorter yoga session that will focus on basic postures, breathing, and alignment. Great for beginners, pre and post-natal, and those coming back from injury.

Check out this dance fitness craze that is sweeping the nation! Inspired by Latin dance and music, Zumba uses a variety of styles in its routines, including, merengue, salsa, hip-hop, pop, mambo, rumba, and flamenco. No dance experience required.

When it comes to body sculpting, Zumba® Toning raises the bar (or rather, the toning stick). Learn how to use lightweight, maraca-like Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all the target zones, including arms, abs and thighs. Zumba Toning is the perfect way to sculpt your body naturally while having a total blast.
