What We Do
At Girls on the Run, we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them unique. Trained coaches lead small teams through curricula which focuses on social and emotional development through dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the 10-week program, girls in 3rd-6th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
Why It Matters
Girls face social pressures and conflicting messages about how they should act and who they should be. Girls’ confidence drops as friendships become more complicated, their perception of their academic ability declines, and anxiety increases. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.
At Girls on the Run we believe every girl is full of power and potential. We help develop their strength of character, build their confidence, create positive connections with peers and adults, and encourage them to build a life of purpose.
Times & Dates
September 5–November 10
Sundays • 2:00-3:30pm
Thursdays • 4:15-5:45pm
Registration Fee $200
For girls in Grades 3rd-6th
Participants are required to wear comfortable athletic clothes, running shoes and socks.
Includes Water bottle, T shirt and 5K registration and medal
